Emperor’s food

On urgent request from their patrons, Kama, the signature Indian restaurant of Radisson Blu, has come up with a non-veg menu. Rakesh kumar samples the new fare
It was the Jain and Pandit population around Kama, a restaurant in the Radission Blue Ghaziabaad, which led it to start as a totally vegetarian restaurant. The only logic behind this move was to provide the best vegetarian food around NCR. However, this didn’t last long, because the place has not proved popular among vegetarians and kept away hardcore non-vegetarians. After continual requests from their patrons, Kama, the signature Indian restaurant of Radisson Blu have come up with their non-veg menu. And to check their non-veg offerings like Galouti Kebab, as well as traditional delicacies like Murgh Changezi and Nalli Boti Ki Nihari, we made our way to the fine dining restaurant.

Ambiance
As per its name ~ the Indian restaurant of Radisson Blu has a traditional Indian touch, which is visible everywhere in their décor. As one steps into the restaurant, one can hear Gazals sound in a dim light. However, not everone seemed to enjoy the music.

Food
The restaurant offers delectable non-vegetarian dishes comprising robust flavours of the traditional North Indian cuisine, prepared with much guarded secrets of gastronomical excellence of a bygone era. Our culinary journey began with Galouti kebabs, Sikandari Raan and Dahi elaichi kebab as starters. While we were enjoying the starters, the restaurant’s head chef came up to us and informed us about the offerings on their main course ~ Murgh

changezi, Nalli boti nihari, Mutton Firdausi, Dum biryani. In vegetarian section, Dal-e-Kama stood out along with home style Baingan bharta and Lahori paneer. It all looked so tempting, we requested the chef to let us taste them all. He then suggested his best offering ~ Emperor Thali, which had Tawa Murg Kali Mirch, Murg Changenzi and Dal to name a few with a bowl of rice and breads. Believe me, it was an excellent offering as it had almost all their special dishes. Not only the taste what impressed us was the style of serving, which transported one to Mughal era. Food is served on a huge plate with many small bowls filled with a variety of food.
Note it was more than enough for a single person so better order when you two. For dessert, we ordered Faluda Kulfi, which was decorated beautifully and tasted refreshing.
Service: Service is very quick here. You won’t have to wait a long for the next order. Staff is very friendly ~ they will be near you all the time.
Verdict: If one feels like a taste of traditional North Indian food, plan a visit here. And, yes, order for their Emperor Thali.
